The Spire Room is 200 square feet of bright and spacious luxury, decorated in rich Victorian blues. It earned this name from its history as the dining room for the original McIntyre family in 1879. With 60 square foot windows touching the ceiling, it had a miraculous view in the early years of the Sydenham Street United Church (also known as “The Spire” Church). The view of ‘The Spire’ Church was of utmost importance to the McIntyre family. In the late 1800’s it was a common practice for families to say grace before each meal, and in this luxurious mansion, the McIntyre family were able to say their grace while in direct view of the Spire Church’s steeple. This room comfortably sleeps three with one four-poster queen bed and one single bed. It also has a large comfortable reading chair, as well as closet space and a large 50 square foot three-piece bathroom.
