The Hochelaga Inn is close with Queen’s University (QU), both in distance and historic bond. The original owner of the Hochelaga, John McIntyre, received his BA in 1861, his MA in 1872, and was later a professor of Criminal Law at QU. Since then, Hochelaga has served as accommodations for many professors, scholars, individuals attending the campus. Planning a meeting in Kingston? Why not add inspiration to the meeting by having it somewhere that is deep-rooted in the history of the City of Kingston. The Hochelaga Inn is a beautiful Victorian mansion built in 1879 that has been upgraded to accommodate and meet your modernized meeting needs. We have private meeting spaces that can fit up to 20 participants. We provide free-flow coffee & tea with space rental, additional food & beverage options and have access to any A/V equipment needed. Have you ever dreamt of having a one-of-a-kind wedding backdropped with natural gardens and beautiful Victorian architecture rooted in the history of Kingston? You’re on the right spot. This historic Kingston property was constructed in 1879 and has historical charm while also providing modern amenities. We can host up to 50 guests for an outdoor setting, and 30 for indoor.
